Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation

Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation is a culturally rich Ojibwe community in Northwestern Ontario, located 40 km east of Fort Frances. Positioned 300 km west of Thunder Bay, 300 km east of Winnipeg, and about 500 km (290 miles) north of Minneapolis, Minnesota, it remains physically and economically isolated from mainstream Canada. Despite this, the area holds a deep and vast history of the Ojibwe people.
