Saugeen First Nation is situated on the stunning shores of Lake Huron, at the base of the Bruce Peninsula. Located just 2 miles northeast of Southampton and approximately 18 miles west of Owen Sound on Highway 21, our community is conveniently within a 2 to 3-hour drive from major centers such as Toronto, Barrie, Kitchener, London, and Sarnia.
Our rich Ojibway heritage is vividly expressed through dance, art, and handcrafted creations. We warmly invite the public to explore the cultural heritage of the Saugeen Ojibway and experience our gracious hospitality. A visit to the Saugeen Amphitheatre in July or August offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Ojibway culture through workshops and programs.
While in our community, be sure to stop by the Little Barn Craft Shop, which features a diverse array of native crafts and art from across Ontario. Additionally, the annual Three Fires Confederacy Pow Wow, held the second weekend in August, attracts dancers from across the country. This vibrant event showcases native dance, music, traditional foods, handmade beadwork, quill baskets, black ash baskets, and other handcrafted items.
Come and experience the rich culture and warm hospitality of the Saugeen First Nation.
